House B

Thailand 2009

The site is an unspoilt beauty in the midst of many mountains. Located on the top of a narrow mountain, House B is designed for a retired lady. A typical house is decidedly ‘broken’ into five individual pavilions, connecting with walkways and a lush landscape. Each pavilion is built to enhance an experience, such as the sound of rain, the smell of flowers, the view to the far mountains and the dream of galaxies at night. To further echo the natural surrounding, only one architectural finish is employed to build the entire project, rammed earth walls.
